The ERC is providing around € 9.4 million in funding to three research groups that will collaborate in the CrowdING project: Understanding Crowds: ERC Synergy Grant Awarded to Research Team from Jülich and Groningen.

2026

Official start of the CrowdING project: 01. April 2026.

First CrowdING retreat: 05.-07. May 2026.

The first project retreat took place in Wolfheze near Arnhem, providing a great opportunity for everyone to present their work and get to know each other in person!

Second CrowdING retreat: 27.-29. October 2026.

Six months have passed since the last retreat, and the group has grown! Although the weekly online meetings help us work together, it was time to meet in person again. All the PhD students and postdocs presented their work, and we did some collaborative exercises and tested the experiments planned for December. The three days were all fully packed!
